For anyone unaware, Piapro is running a contest to redesign Hatsune Miku for her American debut. Based on the other entrants, I feel it necessary to let all Japanese/heterosexual people know that it is NEVER OK TO WEAR AN AMERICAN FLAG PATTERN! Seriously, EVER!! Also, giving Miku a cowboy outfit and twin pistols for her American redesign is NOT going to go over well.

A few friends and I were hanging at a restaurant and someone had made mention of the fact that I had a very bad memory, to which I responded "well, I am a goldfish". A few seconds later, I looked over to one of my friends placemats, and she had drawn an adorable picture of a fat fish with huge eyes and a cat face labeled as "Ben Fish". This is my representation of that fish. It's nowhere near as cute as her original.

I'm the kind of guy who isn't happy unless I'm playing with a new toy. I like doing illustrations just fine, but I also like to download random programs and experiment with them and see what I can do with them. I think this is one of the reasons why I'm so unproductive at the whole computer art thing.. While I should be honing my skills at what I know, I'm usually trying to learn something new. Case in point, ZBrush.

ZBrush has intrigued me since I learned of it's existence. It really seems like the only kind of 3D modeling program that I could comprehend. unfortunately, like most of the fancy toys I want to play with, it costs money. But it's been brought to my attention that theres a free alternative called Sculptris, which you can learn more about here and here.
